Mahalo E Ke Akua No Keia La - "Thanks be to god for this day"
After a very long day of travel yesterday, Bob and I arrived in beautiful Maui about 5:30 Hawaiin time. Upon arrival we jumped in our convertible mustang and drive along the cost about 20 minutes to Lahaina, HI. Our resort in on Kaanapali Beach, and we have a fabulous mountain view, with beautiful lush green everywhere. This is a picture from our hotel this morning at sunrise! Aloha kakahiaka - "Good Morning"!!
We are going to the grocery store this morning to get some food for the apartment. Our place is fantastic, with a full kitchen, huge bathrooms and even a washer/dryer in the unit. After that we plan to relax poolside or on the beach and catch some rays. I will try to update this as the week goes on with our activities and plans. We hope to do a "whale watching tour", take a puddle jumper over to Oahu to visit the Pearl Harbor and the Arizona Memorial and make the trek up Haleakala (considering last time we failed to get up for the bike tour down Haleakala and we had to turn around halfway up on our self guided driving tour, because we noticed we were on "E").
